An idea he's approached plenty himself over the months and then years of being here, certainly. At first this had seemed like somewhere temporary to be but as he'd watched friends come and go at the whim of the Singularity and the same for those he'd once known at an academy sometime ago, the longer he'd stayed and the more being here felt some sort of permanent. The future that both was and wasn't when they'd opened their eyes to find out none of it had been real brought back plenty of doubts about staying instead of finding a way hoe, though this time he'd mostly kept them tucked away.
So maybe that's part of the reason he's now here walking through the streets of Cadens with a bottle of wine in one hand and a box of assorted sweet and savory pastries in the other as a tried and true pairing. It's early evening with the sun just starting to set and the streets beginning to come slightly busier with the evening's crowds and vendors, but his only destination in mind is the door he stops outside of, taking a second to adjust everything in his grasp to knock on it before leaning next to it to wait.
Of course only now it occurs to him he could've perhaps sent a message ahead to let Ciri know he was going to stop by, but. Maybe that'll be next if she's not here. ]
